Dreamt I was driving down the Garden State Parkway south with Leah because we were going to Long Beach Island and I was going to pick up weed from my friend. We take Exit 63, take the long drive east over the bridge then Leah says she needs to make a stop and will meet me there.
Okay, that's weird.
I drive my car onto the beach, foregoing stopping at my friend's place, to wait and nap. The surf awakens me as it starts to strike my car's front bumper. With some timing and clever shifting, I'm able to get out of my sand trap and head south on the beach between the many encampments of summertime beach-goers. Ahead of me I see Leah walking towards the ocean but she's like a negative image of herself. I'm wondering if I should let Leah meet my friend at all. The dream wraps up there.

I recently had a conversation with my friend Dave, the one who got me the job as a title searcher, and he brought up an observation about the younger generations. Intrigued, I reached out to my friend on Long Beach Island for their perspective being less than half my age.

I have a question in two parts, would you help an old man?

What's your question
Be up front my guy

For some reason that response alone meant a lot to me. I realized I'm probably very hard on myself and my self-image.

I also heard from my friend Tim via Twitter because I was pimping the latest update. He responded about my astronomy club newsletters and I felt pretty good reading what he had to say about them.

Damn! Those look sharp! Well done. I always imagined that they were just, like, little text 'bulletins,' not that magazine-looking magic. The star gazers of Tom's River owe you a debt of gratitude!

a photograph looking west from my room in neptune new jersey on saturday the 19th of june 2022. the image showsthe clouds lit by the sunset with the colors orange and gold framed by the silhouettes of trees on the left, right, and bottom of the image. one can spy three houses in the distance and this house's shed.

mundane crap

On Sunday I wrote for the site, did some image editing for fun, took a shower, went food shopping and spent less than $60 bucks, folded laundry, organized my dresser so my kitchen and bathroom stuff is tidier, paid off my credit card, ate dinner, and finished watching The Orville: New Horizons episode 3 which was significantly better than the first two but the characters are still flat.
